Human Rights Foundation

As the Head of Video at the Human Rights Foundation, I created, launched, and lead the overall production process for HRF Studios, HRF’s first video operation. This platform was created with the goal of establishing HRF as the primary, go-to outlet for original content on all things authoritarian. Building everything from the ground up in just eight months, I developed and executed a production slate of four new original content series: Voices of Dissent, On the Frontline, How to Topple a Tyrant, and HRF Films a channel for original short documentaries produced by HRF.

Voices of Dissent

I created and pitched Voices of Dissent, a series of cinematic micro documentaries that tell the extraordinary personal stories of dissenters in the HRF community. Creator/Producer

On the Frontline

I created and pitched On the Frontline. This series aims to highlight activists in the HRF community who are taking to the streets to challenge political repression around the world. Creator/Producer/Editor

How to Topple a Tyrant

From Venezuela to Iraq, 2019 saw protests in every region of the world. In closed societies, people are pushing to hold their leaders accountable. In response, I created and pitched How to Topple a Tyrant. In this series, hear from activists on the innovative nonviolent tactics, skills, and tools that can amplify a people-powered movement. Creator/Producer/Shooter/Editor

HRF Films

HRF Films is a documentary channel produced by HRF that delves into pressing human rights challenges, such as the war on drugs and the detention of Uighur Muslims in China. Each film provides context and elevates the voices of bold and fearless activists who are risking their lives to expose tyranny. Creator/Producer
